Prayer That Provokes Turnaround
We serve a God who is good at turning around the situation of men and societies. There is no situation that is too difficult or hard for God to handle.
Jeremiah 32:17; 27
17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
27 Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?
If there is nothing too hard for God, it means there is no situation in which God cannot turn around when it is submitted unto Him.
Again Scripture says
Mark 10:27
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Luke 1:37
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
If nothing is impossible with God, then our tough situation is not impossible for God to change. Yes, it may be impossible for man to handle, but not with God. God can turn our situation around for our good.
Two Factors Needed
Now to turn our situation around, two factors must be involved.
The God factor:
Matthew 11:28
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Isaiah 1:18
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The God factor reveals to us that without God, our situation will remain unsolved and even get worse. It is God that can turn around our situation. Therefore we must let Him into our situation for us to handle and turn it around.
The Man Factor:
The Man factor has to do with man first recognizing his helplessness to solve his problems, and humility to call upon God to turn his situation around for him. This is with the knowledge that he cannot handle his situation all by himself. so he needs help.
Psalm 34:5-6
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10
9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
Every man who has ever experienced a turnaround called upon God for help and intervention. Until you come to the point of calling unto God, you may never experience a change of situation.
Now, prayer is one requirement man must engage to get God to turn his situation around. However, I want to list below, the characteristics of the prayer that provokes turnaround for you.
The prayer must be earnest (James 5:17 – 18)
The prayer must be persistent (Luke 18:1 – 8; Matthew 7:7 – 9)
The prayer must be fervent (James 5:16 – 17; Col 4:12)
The prayer must be faith-rooted (Mark 11:24; James 5:15)
The prayer must be Word based (1 John 5:14 – 15; John 15:7)
The prayer must be guided by the revelation of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:26 – 28).
These are kind prayers that provoke a turnaround. It is a new season for you in Jesus’ mighty name. I see your situation has been turned around for good in Jesus’ mighty name.
