Reaching Beyond Your reach

When our Lord Jesus was commissioning us with the mandate to take the Gospel to the
uttermost part of the world as His witness, He was calling into a life that would be
stretched beyond its reach.
Yes, it is never possible for an individual to take the Gospel of Christ, the love of Christ
and the power of Christ to the uttermost part of the earth. Reaching the ends of the
earth will be beyond our physical means. However, the Lord has released
resources needed for us to reach those physically beyond our reach with
the love and gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring them
into the kingdom.
One such resource He has given us is the Person of the Holy Spirit. He said “And ye
shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be
witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and Judea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost
part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
The next resources He has given us to reach beyond our reach for Him are the
people He has strategically positioned in various places and has given us the privilege
to connect with. The gospel from the mouth of Philip came to the people of Africa in
Acts 8 not because Philip came to Africa but because he was divinely connected to the
Ethiopia eunuch. Are there people in your life right now that you can connect and
partner with just to reach beyond your reach for the Lord? You would need to maintain
that relationship to advance the kingdom and reach far beyond
your reach.
The third resource the Lord has given us is our finances. As a believer, your finances are not
just for you to take care of yourself and your immediate needs. It is purposefully to take the
love and gospel of Christ to people that physically beyond your reach. You need to
financially partner with people, ministries, and organizations that are taking the gospel
and the love of Christ to people you not physically reach.
The fourth resource is technology. There are technological gadgets and systems which
the Lord has helped man to create which can help us reach beyond our physical reach.
Through the technology of the internet and social media, we can reach more people
than we would not have physically reached. I have been privileged to pray for people in
Mexico, Russia, Pakistan, India, and Uganda, just to name a few, through technology. I don’t
have the physical means to reach these people but through technology, I am reaching
beyond my reach.
